Access to the clinic - safety measures

In the current context  – the SARS  CoV  2  pandemic – our clinic  has implemented  a strict protocol for the prevention of the virus. All  measures are aimed at the medical  safety  of  those  who  arrive  at the  clinic, as well as the staff  of the Cosmedica clinic .

From 01.05.2020, the  following  precautionary measures   have  been  taken in  our  clinic,  so  that  our patients  benefit from the services  we  offer:

  • Triage point

Upon entering the clinic, each person will pass the triage point (made in epidemiological triage container) where the designated staff will assess the health status through several specific operations (SARS-CoV 2* quick antigen test, temperature measurement, oxygen saturation) and where the COVID19 standard documents will be completed.

If the result of quick testing is positive SARS-CoV 2, access to the in the clinic is prohibited.

Those who present negative test result and do not even meet the definition of COVID19 suspect, can enter the clinic, after following the protocol: disinfection of clothing items, disinfection of hands.

  • Inside  the clinic

Patients receive from the clinic disposable   items, which they are required to wear: disposable masks, disposable gown, disposable   gloves.

  • Other indications

In order to avoid crowding in the triage   area, patients are asked to observe the scheduled hours and the required distancing measures – a distance of 2 meters from other people.

It is also preferable not to show up accompanied, except in exceptional situations(minors, elderly people who need a companion, people with disabilities).   Given the present situation, the access to the clinic of the relatives is strictly forbidden.

All the measures presented shall be adapted according to the epidemiological situation. We all want to overcome the difficult period and return quickly, safely and in full health to normal life .

Thank you for your understanding!

Cosmedica  Clinic Staff

* Patients and/or caregivers who will present a document certifying SARS-CoV 2 immunization (respectively: proof of vaccination/booster or the analysis bulletin attesting the performance of the igg antibody titer SARS-CoV 2 with a maximum age of 30 days, previously presented to the attending physician to be interpreted), will no longer perform the SARS-CoV 2 rapid test. To you the other steps in the triage are maintained and followed by all patients.

COVID-19 PREVENTION MEASURES

As it has been proven by the studies carried out,the SARS-CoV 2 virus is transmitted from person to person through direct contact and by Pfluge droplets . The most at risk of infection are people who have direct contact with a patient infected with COVID-19 or those who care for COVID-19 patients. Direct contact means contact without wearing a mask and without respecting the distance of at least1.5-2 m from the interlocutors.

It is important to comply with prevention and containment measures , whether it is the medical field or that of communities .

Here are the effective prevention measures:

  • Frequent hand sanitizing – soap and water (especially when the hands are visibly dirty) and frequently with a hydro-alcoholic solution by rubbing, as recommended.
  • Proper wearing of masks, correct storage after use, hand sanitization after removing the mask.
  • It is essential to adopt the practice of respiratory hygiene: sneezing or coughing in a disposable handkerchief (and throwing it away after use) or in the elbow fold.
  • Avoiding touching the face – nose, mouth, eyes.
  • Social distancing (minimum 1.5 – 2m), especially from people who have respiratory symptoms .

The personnel working in the medical field are obliged to take all precautions both to protect themselves and to prevent transmission during medical care. The preventive measures that the medical staff must implement when coming into contact with possible COVID-19 patients include:

  • To properly use personal protective equipment;
  • Select the appropriate protective equipment, equip and undress according to the instructions for use.
  • Nurses assigned to the triage department of Cosmedica clinic must use and wear the following items: waterproof suits, mask and eye protection (facial shield; goggles ), gloves.
  • As if during triage a person is positively detected (in the quick antigen test), the triage is stopped for about an hour, for disinfection and After this disinfection protocol , triage can resume .

Thank you very much for understanding!

UP-TO-DATE

Dear patients,

We would like to   inform you    that, so far, all the staff of the COSMEDICA clinic has been immunized by vaccination against COVID-19 (both the initial dose and the booster).

We encourage the COVID-19 vaccine, as we believe it is the most effective measure that can be taken to resume the normal rhythm of life .      However, we will keep the protection and safety protocol in the future.

HOW WILL CO MUNICATION WITH THE OWNERS BE DONEDURING THE PANDEMIC GENERATED BY SARS-COV-2?

As we have mentioned, access to the clinic for caregivers is restricted during this period, so we will transmit information about patients by phone.

That is why, at the end of the day, patients will provide us with a contact phone number and the data of the caregivers – name, surname. This information will be noted in the General Clinical Observation Sheet (FOCG). It is important to note that we will provide information about the patient just to this phone number , only to this contact person.

We will NOT provide information to other persons who do not appear registered with the aforementioned data ,who may claim to be members of the Cosmedica clinic patients.

The procedure provides that only doctors and nurses provide their relatives with information about a particular patient, the rest of the categories of staff do not have access and cannot provide any details about the condition of a patient.
